About this Event
Burbank Terrace, a 100% affordable rental building, brings 27 new homes to the Fenway neighborhood. It marks Fenway CDC’s first ground-up development in over two decades and was constructed on a compact 3,500 SF former parking lot at 72 Burbank Street.
The project received funding from the Executive Office for Housing and Livable Communities (EOHLC), the City of Boston Mayor’s Office of Housing (MOH), and CEDAC. WNC syndicated the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) equity, while The Life Initiative, Eastern Bank, and MHP provided the acquisition, construction, and permanent financing, respectively.
Construction was completed in October 2024, and as of January 2025, the building is home to 41 residents.
Parking in the neighborhood is limited. Public transit is encouraged. The closest stops on the Green Line are Symphony and Hynes Convention Center, and Massachusetts Ave on the Orange Line. There is also a paid parking garage at 35 Westland Ave, above Whole Foods.
