BUNNY BRUNEL is a highly versatile and innovative bassist, composer, producer, and bass designer. Renowned for his unique playing style, which encompasses advanced techniques like tapping and harmonics, Bunny has made significant contributions across genres such as jazz, fusion, pop, Latin, etc., and has toured/recorded with some of the most iconic musicians of our time, associated with Chick Corea (9 years), including Wayne Shorter, Tony Williams, and Herbie Hancock, he has left his mark on the music landscape. As the founder of the Grammy-nominated band CAB, Bunny showcased his compositional prowess and leadership in contemporary jazz. Bunny actively engages in music education through masterclasses and clinics. But he is best known for his soloing chops, as he continues to mesmerize each time he takes that spotlight, leaving audiences awestruck from his unique approach to modal improvisation and his mind-blowing, unrivaled dexterous playing, thus putting a spotlight on the bass as a soloing instrument.
STANLEY CLARKE is an iconic bassist, composer, and producer whose career has been defined by groundbreaking achievements in the realms of jazz, fusion, and beyond. As a virtuosic bassist, Clarke revolutionized the role of the electric bass, both as a solo instrument and in the context of the pioneering fusion band Return to Forever, co-founded with Chick Corea. His solo career, spanning several decades, boasts a diverse discography, showcasing his versatility in jazz, funk, and classical genres. Stanley Clarke's collaborations with music legends, film scoring accomplishments, and multiple Grammy Awards underscore his enduring impact on the global music scene. His innovative spirit, technical prowess, and genre-defying contributions have solidified him as a trailblazer and one of the preeminent figures in the history of contemporary music.
KYLE EASTWOOD embodies a musical journey deeply rooted in jazz and cinematic influences. Growing up surrounded by the sounds of Miles Davis, Dave Brubeck, and the Big Band music of Duke Ellington, Kyle's passion for jazz was nurtured by attending concerts and meeting legends like Getz, Ella Fitzgerald, and Sarah Vaughan. Son of iconic actor/director Clint Eastwood, Kyle's dual love for cinema and jazz converges in his career as a world-renowned bassist, recording artist, and award-winning film composer. His 2019 album "Cinematic" showcases jazz explorations of film scores, marrying his two passions. Now, celebrating 25 years since his debut album, Kyle embarks on "Symphonic," a fully orchestrated project featuring themes from Clint Eastwood's films. Beyond his jazz evolution, Kyle's extensive contributions include film compositions for Clint's projects like "Mystic River" and "Gran Torino," revealing a rich world of talent, influence, and innovation that defines his exceptional career.
ARMAND SABAL-LECCO is a highly esteemed bassist renowned for his virtuoso talent and versatility. Hailing from a musical family, Sabal-Lecco's journey into the world of music was inevitable, and he has emerged as a prominent figure in the industry. His bass playing, characterized by technical prowess and melodic sensibility, and one of the best slapping bassists in the world, he has had collaborations with Paul Simon, Stanley Clarke, and Peter Gabriel. In addition to his role as a sought-after session and touring bassist, Sabal-Lecco has ventured into a successful solo career, showcasing his skills as a composer and bandleader. LARRY DUNN, a pivotal figure in the legendary Earth, Wind & Fire, not only helped create the sound for the iconic band but continues to shape the music landscape with his Larry Dunn Orchestra (LDO). Beyond his instrumental role in Earth, Wind & Fire, Dunn has established himself as a prolific producer, contributing to countless albums for various artists, including The Emotions, Level 42, Ronnie Laws, George Duke, Lenny White, Paulinho Da Costa, Foley, Ramsey Lewis, Caldera, Hubert Laws, Stanley Turrentine, Dianne Reeves, Brian Culbertson, Dee Dee Bridgewater, and Deniece Williams, just to name a few. Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (2000), the Songwriters Hall of Fame (2010), and honored with the GRAMMY Lifetime Achievement Award in 2016, Dunn's influence transcends decades. As the founder of LDO and a distinguished producer, Larry Dunn's multifaceted contributions continue to resonate, solidifying his enduring impact on the world of music.
KAYLENE PEOPLES is a versatile artist with a 5-octave vocal range, acclaimed multi-instrumentalist, and prolific composer/arranger/conductor. Kaylene's orchestration skills grace film soundtracks, including her award-winning feature film "Redemption." Her arrangements can be heard on "American Pie 2," "Serendipity," "Ruby," and more. Her jazz album "All Jazzed Up!," "My Man,” and her holiday EP “Carol of the Bells,” showcase her unique approach as an arranger/producer. The flutist in the Grammy-nominated band CAB, she has performed/recorded with Hubert Laws, Patrice Rushen, Bobby Lyle, Bunny Brunel, Larry Dunn, and more. Her recent album "Romantic Bossa-Nova" has garnered acclaim both domestically and in South America, adding to her legacy as a consummate performer, jazz innovator, and a force on the Bossa-nova scene.
