The Department of Communities in association with the Centre for Accessibility Australia and Advocacy WA, is delivering a full day business accessibility workshop at Mantra Bunbury Lighthouse. This free event including morning tea and lunch, will be launched by Hon. Donald (Don) Thomas Punch MLA, supporting South West businesses in improving accessibility and enhancing customer service to people with disability.

About the Speakers:
Dr Scott Hillier specialises in the field of digital accessibility, and has a PhD in Internet Studies, a Master of Management, and senior management experience across the not-for-profit, corporate and Government sectors. Scott also holds academic positions at Edith Cowan University and the University of South Australia and is an Invited Expert for the W3C Accessible Platform Architectures Research Questions Task Force. Scott has a lived experience of disability as a person who is legally blind, and as such has both a professional and personal understanding of the importance of accessibility.
Sara Gunning has worked as a trainer and facilitator, project manager and marketing consultant for a number of organisations in the UK and Australia. As a business owner, she provided marketing, communications and business development support to small and medium sized businesses in a range of sectors. Sara has also worked with several organisations delivering projects in the areas of disabilities, financial wellbeing and community resilience-building. She regularly facilitates workshops in disability accessibility, community capacity building as well as leadership and business skills.
