I hope you’ll join us for this Fall Extravaganza—This event promises to be a fantastic day filled with activities for ALL ages. This event will be featuring a volleyball tournament alongside opportunities to interact with horses and watch demonstrations across multiple disciplines of horsemanship. From Working Equitation and barrel racing to show jumping and Dressage, there’s something for everyone to enjoy! We have also invited some of the best local vendors and organizations to support this event and share with us what they do and the services/merchandise they offer. There will also be food trucks onsite, so no one goes hungry. We will also have a silent auction, 50/50 drawing, and many other ways to donate to our fundraiser. I’ve partnered with The Horse Park @ Gryphon Run (https://gryphonrun.com), one of the region's first Working Equitation barns, to host this event. Not only will we introduce attendees to two amazing sports, but a portion of the proceeds will also go to support one of our local equine rescues Diamonds in the Rough (https://www.adoptditr.com). The need for assistance in rescuing and rehabilitating horses is more significant than many realize and it’s vital that we continue to contribute to their incredible work.
Let’s come together to celebrate our love for horses and volleyball while making a difference in our community!!
Volleyball Tournament Details and Structure:

*Tidewater Volleyball Association has provided us with the nets and equipment to use. THANK YOU!
*There will be different divisions to participate in, so it doesn't matter if you are just learning to play or are a pro, everyone can compete. We have a free agent option as well if you don't have a team and want us to help you find one.
*This is a COED event so you must have at least 2 girls on the court at all times and a female is required to touch the ball unless it is sent over on one. Blocks are not considered a touch. No more than 5 players on roster.
*Check in at 8AM, check in ends at 845, play starts by 9.
*Pools of 4 with one game to 25. Play each team once.
*We will reseed after pool play is completed. Playoffs are single elimination and match play (best 2 out of 3 games with 3rd game to 15).
*There will also be some post tournament celebrations 🙂
*You can find park rules on the Gryphon Run website, but mainly be mindful and respectful of the animals on property that day.
*You are welcome to bring coolers and your own chairs etc.
