This Event gets bigger and bigger every Year! If you have never heard of Hansome Dans Rescue "Handsome Dan" was one of the 22 dogs who came to Best Friends Animal Society from the estate of NFL quarterback Michael Vick after he was arrested and charged with “Conspiracy to Engage in Dog Fighting in Violation of the Animal Welfare Act.”
As we advance in the years since this they have done tremendous things for the Breed as a whole including saving and training the "unadoptable" pit bull-type dogs, Fostering, and running enrichment programs to help local dogs in shelters. We could go on and on about the amazing things they have and continue to do daily. This rescue will always hold a big place in our hearts as we ADORE the bully breeds. Please come out and show your support and love for the Breed. Let's continue to be their voice and advocate for them!!!
Dogs are not only welcomed they are encouraged, but please make sure they are well-behaved and remain leashed at all times! :)
