About this Event
Bulleit Tree Planting at McCollum Park
(Registration online caps at 25, however anyone may show up in person at the designated time to volunteer!)
Join us for a fantastic morning at McCollum Park where we'll be planting trees in partnership with Bulleit, American Forests, The Morton Arboretum's Chicago Region Trees Initiative (CRTI), and SEASPAR. Let's get our hands dirty and make a positive impact increasing Chicagoland's tree canopy together!
This in-person event is a great opportunity to connect with nature and like-minded individuals. No experience is necessary and everyone is welcome!
Led in partnership with Bulleit, American Forests, The Morton Arboretum's Chicago Regions Trees Initiative CRTI, and SEASPAR
We will be planting 20-30 native trees on-site and will provide training for volunteers to learn how to properly plant and care for trees.
As a volunteer, you will work alongside the CRTI team and SEASPAR to help us dig holes, plant trees, mulch, and water.
- Please wear long pants and close toed shoes
- Dress for the weather - we will plant rain or shine!
- Make sure to bring a full water bottle, and sunscreen. We will have water and vegan-friendly snacks on hand for all our volunteers!
We hope you join us and help contribute to the improvement of our local urban forests and making a difference in the community!
