About this Event
Calling all girls ages 6-13 who want to learn how to fence! Girls Forward Foundation and Epic Fencing Club are happy to announce that the Built to Fence program is back and ready for you to join us!
During this 6-session program, Built to Fence participants will learn foundational fencing skills alongside Epic Fencing coaches and within their co-ed program. No previous fencing experience is required, and equipment will be provided. Girls Forward will also be delivering curriculum that will empower them through education on safe, welcoming, and inclusive sport experiences.
Spots for this program are limited and on a first come first serve basis.
Program Details:
Who:
- Girls ages 6-13
- Divided into two age groups: 6-9 and 10-13
Dates:
- Saturday's, starting Oct 25th until Dec 6th (no session on Nov 8th)
- 6 sessions: Oct 25; Nov 1, 15, 22, 29; Dec 6
- Final Donut Tournament on Saturday Dec 13th (time of event to be announced)
Times:
- Ages 6-9 group: 2pm - 3:30pm
- Ages 10-13 group: 1:30pm - 3:30pm
- Arrive 15-20mins early to check-in

- Epic Fencing Club (3309 9 St. SE, Calgary, AB)

Comfortable/athletic clothing (pants only, NO SHORTS - legs must be covered for safety)

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Participants of the Built to Fence program will be integrated into an existing Epic Fencing program that is co-ed (mixed gender).
