Join us at the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre for some Family Day fun! General admission is FREE for the day, and is included when you register for one of the following circuitry workshops (for visitors ages 7+).
These 60-minute workshops will introduce kids to STEAM and circuitry with easy-to-use magnetic building block bits that snap together to make learning about electronics exciting and engaging. Activities include building an annoying alarm clock, satellite dish, energy meter, an art machine and more!
Workshops have limited capacity so don’t miss out.
REGISTRATION
Select from one of three group schedules (A, B or C) and register each member of your party.
General admission to the Space Centre is included when you register for a workshop. Admission includes a show in the planetarium and a live science demonstration. For Family Day all of our programming will focus on Canada’s part in the Artemis Mission and the return of humans to the Moon.
GROUP A
9:30am: check-in, explore the Cosmic Courtyard exhibit space
10:00am: “Living on the Lunar Gateway” science demonstration (20mins)
10:30am: Building with Bits Circuitry Workshop (60mins)
11:45am: “Forward to the Moon” Planetarium show (45mins)
GROUP B
11:30pm: check-in, explore the Cosmic Courtyard exhibit space
12:00pm: “Living on the Lunar Gateway” science demonstration (20mins)
12:30pm: Building with Bits Circuitry Workshop (60mins)
1:45am: “Forward to the Moon” Planetarium show (45mins)
GROUP C
1:30pm: check-in, explore the Cosmic Courtyard exhibit space
2:00pm: “Living on the Lunar Gateway” science demonstration (20mins)
2:30pm: Building with Bits Circuitry Workshop (60mins)
3:45pm: “Forward to the Moon” Planetarium show (45mins)
Programming recommended for visitors ages 7+. Children must be accompanied by adults. One ticket must be reserved for each member of your group.
These workshops are free to attend and are made possible with the support of the Canadian Space Agency.
**REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE AT 8:30am on February 19th. Registration must be done in advance and will not be available on February 19th.**
PARKING
Ample paid parking is available in front of the Space Centre building (Parking Lot #60 on the Easy Park / ZipBy apps).
Please note the parking lot and its prices and services are managed by Easy Park.
