This seminar will take place in person, and we follow the California Endowment’s COVID-19 protocols, which includes monitoring developments and adjusting event guidelines as needed. Masks will be available for those who wish to use them, and we kindly ask that you do not attend if you are feeling unwell. Free parking is available onsite on a first-come, first-served basis.


Facilitator Bio

Ramona Merchan, DSW, MSW, LCSW, Executive Director -

Ramona has lectured extensively on child welfare, racial equity, leadership, and trauma. With more than 20 years of experience in Los Angeles County public social services and child welfare, she is a trainer, coach, advocate, and leader passionate about serving vulnerable communities. Ramona has managed programs addressing disparities in the child welfare system, including the California Partners for Permanency (CAPP), and at present, she focuses on Family First implementation to strengthen prevention services for Los Angeles County children, youth, and families.
