Building Together

R CITY serves youth in the Humboldt Park area, building trusted relationships to link neighborhood youth to a broader network of support. R CITY provides educational and apprenticeship programming to bring local youth successfully into their calling, and away from violence.

Relationships are growing, and youth are being transformed. But, we are outgrowing our space. In order to expand our programming, we are investing $750,000 in a NEW project, and we need your help!

River City has purchased a lot next to the current facilities. Our dream is this lot will be used for the good of our community, through expanded youth programming, and creating a safe space for the community to gather and foster relationships. Together we are transforming a 3-city block lot into an incredible neighborhood hub that will include: a recreation area (basketball court and soccer field), a performing arts area (outdoor stage) a job creation center (tuckpointing, HVAC, screen printing), and a community nature area (community gardens, communal gathering spaces). Renovation and construction are slated to take place in the spring of 2024.
