Open to 7th–8th graders, this hands-on workshop teaches safe woodworking and welding as students work together on a real community project.
About this Event

Propeller and the Lilly Scholar Network are partnering to offer this hands-on workshop for 7th and 8th grade students. Participants will learn woodworking and welding in a safe, supportive environment while working together on a meaningful community project. Students will build new skills, practice teamwork, and gain confidence using tools. Session 1 on February 9 or February 16 is required and focuses on safety training and foundational skills. All equipment and PPE (personal protective equipment, including gloves, helmets, and safety glasses) will be provided. Following safety training, Propeller will work with students and parents to coordinate build times. The community project build will take place between March and May.
