Have your best marathon season yet! Join our mobility + strength class to prevent injuries and get you to the start line STRONG
About this Event

We're back! It's the new year and that means spring marathon season is full swing! Now's the time to be prepared.

Join our doctors from Forward Spine and Sport as they lead you through this multi-part class to get you ready for your best spring race season. Together, we’ll help you build your body’s resilience to the impact of running while boosting your general physical preparedness for your race. We’ll hit it all – knees, glutes, ankles, everything.

You’ll begin your class with some evidence-based mobility drills. Did you know that your mobility is more than just your flexibility? We’ll get your nerves and joints working through their functional range of motion. You’ll learn more about why you are targeting this area of the body and myth-busting some things you may have heard in the past. Finally, the bulk of the class will be a strength-focused workout flow, during which Ryan and Tori will lead you through strength drills to keep you tuned up and injury-free during your training. Hang out afterwards for some food and good vibes and maybe some treatment!

* This is a free event. If you find you cannot make it to the event, please cancel your ticket so that others may take your spot.

Instructor Bios

Dr. Ryan Deighan, DC

Ryan is a Rhode Island native and who moved back East after finishing grad school in California. From a young age, Ryan had a passion for sports and exercise. Growing up he played hockey, golf, and ran cross country, which all had a major influence towards his love for movement. Currently, he enjoys working with athletes from all different sports and skill levels.

A lifelong runner who fell in love with the sport early on, Ryan ran cross country in middle and high school. To him, running is the best outlet to push himself physically and mentally, to get outdoors, and to move in a way that brings him joy (most of the time, anyway!). He checked off a bucket list moment – running his first marathon (26.TRUE!) this past April, a next-level challenge for him that introduced him to some of the amazing running communities in the area. Ryan runs for the community, the challenge, and his overall well-being.

Dr. Tori Uglialoro, DC
Dr. Tori Uglialoro is a chiropractor at Forward Spine & Sport with a special focus on perinatal and postpartum care. Her approach blends evidence-based care, movement-focused rehab, and a healthy dose of education—helping people understand their pain and feel confident in their recovery.

While she once hated running with a fiery passion (we can all relate, right?), Tori has since been won over by the energy of the run community. She’s currently hitting the pavement with the TrailblazHers crew and embracing the challenge to do hard things in the company of good people. Her favorite part of running these days? The people, the playlists, and the reminder that movement doesn’t have to be perfect to be powerful.

Dr. Bryan Kent, DC & Licensed Acupuncturist

Bryan is a native of Rochester, NY and has been an active member of the Boston running community since moving to Boston 2017. Bryan has had a lifelong passion for movement and sports. He developed a passion for running at age 12 and has been running ever since. A Division III athlete in Cross Country and Track and Field in college, Bryan went on to compete in the 2009 Amateur Triathlon World Championships in Gold Coast, Australia and ran his first Boston Marathon in 2021.

Bryan has worked with all ages and abilities in the athletic world, from novices to future Olympians. He believes that everybody was born to move often and that everyone is an athlete in their own way. If you move, you’re an athlete.
