SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 19 @ 1:00 pm – 3:00 pmCedar Down Farm, Neustadt (Southern Ontario)
Join us for an afternoon at Cedar Down Farm for an in-depth farm tour and a close look at their trials with raised, reduced-tillage vegetable beds and the critical role of cover crops in this practice.
Since 2010, Leslie Moskovits and Jeff Boesch (and their incredible team) have been growing vegetables for Community Supported Agriculture (CSA). With a focus on soil health, biodiversity, and strong community relationships, the farm feeds over 200 families each season while minimizing ecological impact. Participants will explore how their farming practices reflect the real lives and of the farmers who tend the land — from soil health, to labour strategy, marketing and production practices.
