About this Event
If you look around and feel as though everyone else is coping with life better than you, it's probably not true, we are very good at masking our problems and it may be time to stop 'measuring' yourself against others.
However, if you know that YOU need to toughen up a little and take back a bit of control in your life, this session will definitely benefit you.
Loosely defined, resilience is the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties; toughness. But in reality it is complex . We will be looking at four internal human characteristics that allow us to identify areas for development and some of the broader dimensions of resilience that make up this multi-dimensional construct.
Managing emotions is a huge component of building resilience. We will be looking at understanding emotions, how to process them, why we often have conflicts about our feelings, and why suppressing them may not be for the best, long term.
What to expect if you've never been before.
Our class based workshops are a relaxed way to find out more about how to improve your overall wellbeing. You will not be expected to speak up if you do not wish to, you can just turn up, grab a coffee, and listen in.
