About this Event
Bonded labourers marching for shared liberation. Government leaders passing new laws to hold companies accountable for abuses. NGOs building unlikely partnerships with governments and businesses. Donors breaking the rules of traditional philanthropy and exercising trust. Dismantling systems of modern slavery requires courage from all of us, no matter our role.
We need courage to admit where we have failed, to pursue new, innovative solutions, and to build a more inclusive global movement. When we invest in the leadership of survivors and frontline groups, we enable the seeds of courage to grow into freedom – for individuals, communities, and future generations.
In honour of the Freedom Fund’s ten-year anniversary, Building Our Collective Courage will bring together anti-slavery leaders, experts and donors to celebrate success, reflect on emerging challenges and map a way forward together. After a keynote address and discussion on the state of modern slavery, three panels of thought leaders will reflect on how courage manifests in the past, present and future of anti-slavery work.
You are invited to attend both or either Panel Sessions section, or Evening Reception - we would be happy to welcome you!
