Join Cooper Foundation on May 9th from 9:00 - 11:00am at Magnolia HQ (900 Franklin Ave) for a free training on nonprofit board governance. Doors open at 8:30 am for a light breakfast and networking.
**PARKING IS LOCATED ACROSS THE STREET FROM MAGNOLIA HQ. MAGNOLIA HQ PARKING LOT IS FOR MAGNOLIA EMPLOYEES ONLY.**
This training is intended for new board members, current board members, community members who are considering joining a nonprofit governance board, or nonprofit professionals wanting to learn more about nonprofit governing boards.
The presentation by Felicia Goodman, Executive Director of Cooper Foundation will include the following:
- Legal Duties & Basic Responsibilities of Nonprofit Board Members
- Building a Great Board
- Trends in Board Structure for Leading Organizations
Schedule:
- 8:30 am - Doors open for a light breakfast and networking
- 9:00 am - Program begins
- 11:00 am - Program concludes
Additional Details:
- Handouts will be provided at the training
This training will be offered 2-3 times each year so that nonprofit boards can ensure that new board members are trained in board governance. The training is a repeat of the 2 hour board governance trainings held in 2024.
