Building For Equity Pitch Competition

GIRLS FOR TECHNOLOGY PRESENTS: BUILDING FOR EQUITY ACCELERATOR

We invite you to come check out some of your favorite Connecticut-based women-of-color entrepreneurs pitching for cash prizes in the Building For Equity Accelerator hosted by Girls For Technology.

The event will take place on May 30, 2024, from 5:30 PM - 9:00 PM at Girls For Technology's main office, located at 20 Church St,Floor 2, Hartford, CT. Street and garage parking are available for a small fee.

**Registration is required to attend the event. It will include Cocktail Hour, Hors d'oeuvres, Dinner, and Drinks.

The event will feature ten startups who will present a 3-minute pitch of their businesses, followed by 2 minutes of Q&A from the panel of esteemed judges. Our judges will select the top 3 businesses, who will receive a total of $20K in cash prizes. Additionally, there will be a "Crowd Favorite" award selected by the audience.

The evening's agenda includes registration and check-in, a reception featuring meet and greet cocktail hour, the event kick-off, welcome speech from our speaker and judges, the introduction of the contestants and the pitching begins. The evening will culminate with an award ceremony and closing remarks.

Please dress in summer business casual attire and don't forget to bring your dancing shoes. The event is 18+ only.
