The Building Control & Regulations Expo
About this Event

The Building Control & Regulations Expo, which is taking place at the Sports Ireland Campus in Dublin, Blanchardstown on the 1st of March 2023, will provide a forum for all those involved in building control in Ireland to meet and discuss the latest developments in design and construction techniques and technologies. The Event will help participants to keep up-to-date with any changes to building control regulations and associated legislation and potential future amendments.

Building Control Regulations apply generally to new buildings and to existing buildings which undergo an extension, a material alteration or a material change of use. The owner of the building, the designer, and the builder who carries out the works are responsible, under law, for compliance with Building Regulations and Building Control Regulations.

Through a combination of a comprehensive conference programme in conjunction with an exhibition of the latest products and services available, the Building Control & Regulations Expo will encompass all key aspects regarding the control, design and construction of buildings in order to ensure the health, safety and welfare of people within the build environment, access for people with disabilities and the conservation of fuel and energy.

Topics being covered include: developments in building control legislation; fire protection & safety; disability access; work commencement requirements; building control management systems; training opportunities; sound and insulation regulations; quality control in building materials; and construction products regulations.
