Blurb: Schools are busy and noisy places. As leaders and teachers we are constantly
striving to find solutions to problems but knowing where to place our best bests can
be difficult. Research Leads will be trained in interpreting the best available evidence
in order to help inform school-based decisions. They will develop their skills in
evaluating existing practice and interpreting the best available evidence to inform
decisions.
Day structure:
Day 1: 12 th October 2021
Developing your knowledge of the evidence base in education
Day 2: 8 th December 2021
Understanding the evidence on cognitive science, curriculum and assessment
Day 3: 16 th June 2022
Effective decision making and implementation in busy schools
Target audience: This course is suitable for teachers and leaders who have role that
allows them to influence the school or organisation’s decision making process.
