About this Event

United Way of Northern California (UWNC) is launching"Building Bridges" an initiative to promote civil discourse in an increasingly divided world. This initiative will feature organized community meetings to foster respectful discussions and help our North State community find common ground by choosing to listen, learn from our differences, and focus on shared goals.

For the project kick-off, UWNC is hosting Rich Harwood, President and Founder of The Harwood Institute. For over 35 years, Rich Harwood has devoted his career to revitalizing the nation's hardest hit communities, transforming the world's largest organizations, and reconnecting institutions to society.

Harwood will deliver a keynote address as part of his national civic campaign called "Enough. Time to Build." The campaign calls on community leaders and active citizens to embrace a civic path forward as a means of overcoming our divisive politics and creating a new trajectory of hope in our communities.
