The funeral industry is experiencing a massive shift.? 60% of funeral directors are retiring in the next five years, and there's a huge new wave of mortuary students, death doulas, home funeral guides, celebrants, and other death care workers entering the industry who are young, excited, predominantly women. Federal regulators are considering expanding price transparency laws in the funeral industry this year.
? We want you to be part of the conversation to shape the national strategies of the biggest nonprofits leading the death-positive movement.
? We're holding a conference in Seattle, Washington and online this year, and this conference is going to be unlike any other you've been to.
Instead of having hour-long keynotes and people promoting their organizations, we’ve put together panels of experts to facilitate conversations so that you can contribute to the direction we need to be going as a movement in real time.
These conversations will be geared towards death care insiders who want to play an active role in shaping the future of death care.
Together, we can decide on concrete action items to bridge the gap between the established funeral industry and independent practitioners, advocate for new laws that actually reflect the industry today, and create a death care system that works for everyone. ?⚖️
