JOIN US in celebrating generations of preparing children for kindergarten and supporting Evanston and North Chicagoland working parents.

This milestone anniversary will feature Honoree Cornelia Grumman, a highly-regarded leader and advocate in the field of early childhood education. Her parents, David and Blair (dec’d) Grumman, have a long history of support for Learning Bridge with Blair’s serving as Center Director for 18 years. Cornelia Grumman is an American Pulitzer Prize–winning journalist, former director of the Early Education Program at the Robert R. McCormick Foundation, and former Executive Director of the First Five Years Fund.

Our second featured guest will be Shawntay King, Department Chair for Early Childhood Education at National Louis University. Along with other key academic partners, Learning Bridge and National Louis are creating opportunities for new early learning teachers, certification and promotion of early learning professionals, and training for caregivers and parents. Shawntay King is a trendsetter and at the forefront of early education, saluting Learning Bridge for 80 years of service in her field.
