Our most popular course! This is our flagship, comprehensive course that has been helping families have a joyful birth for over 10 years. Every aspect of this course has been thoughtfully designed so you and your partner feel confident and prepared for the birth of your baby.
This course is more than knowledge (Though, we have very carefully curated and prepared the critical information you need). We take that knowledge and put it into action. Each class includes a video that provides an opportunity to see what you have learned in a real life setting. Discussions and planning worksheets help you and your partner put what you have learned into a plan for your unique birth. We practice relaxation or birth positions in each session, giving you and your partner time to learn by doing. Laughter and snack time are key elements to a good evening, so we always make time for those.
In this small group setting, we will meet 6 times, spread over 2 months. This allows time for friendship and trust to develop. We have found that people often share the physical and emotional challenges and joys during class. We form a support network and check in with each other after prenatal appointments. We can't promise you will find a lifelong friend, but it happens pretty frequently and we love it when it does.

Maybe you are already passionate about having a natural birth, we will give you the tools to implement that plan. All kinds of people have taken this class and LOVED it: first time couples, families adding their 4th child, single parents, military families, students, professionals, those planning a hospital birth and those planning a home birth, those who have had miscarriages and those with health complications, high risk and low risk pregnancies. With the small group setting, the class is adapted specifically to you.
What's the course like?
I know you have a busy schedule and it's really hard to set aside time for a boring class. That's exactly why this course is designed for you - we make the most of your valuable time and it is NEVER boring. We will have activities, discussion, videos and games - oh, and of course, snacks.
For 6 evenings, we will get together in person with the other couples in a small group setting. This is an opportunity to discussion the material and we will do the hands on learning and practice needed to prepare for labor. Another great thing about those in-person meetings is, we get to know each other! You might be surprised how helpful it is to meet other families that have similar goals.
