This in person session is aimed at Trustees/Directors/Committee members and senior staff in organisations whose role includes grant applications and recruitment of trustees and volunteers.

Overview:

Would you like to enhance your success in grant applications and recruitment for your organisation? If so, this is the course for you!

Learn how to effectively convince individuals, donors or funders to support your work through convincing content you can refer to when needed, whether for a funding proposal, a meeting with a donor or to create copy for a webpage.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Define what a case for support is
  • Describe how to prepare to write a case for support
  • List the key elements that comprise a case for support
  • Explain the steps involved in writing a case for support

This accredited training is organised by the Voluntary and Community Support Team at Community Resource, delivered in partnership with Support Staffordshire, Telford and Wrekin Community Services and funded by the National Lottery Community Fund. This training is designed to support community groups, voluntarily organisations and volunteers across Shropshire Telford and Wrekin only.

Please do not book onto this course if you are not volunteering or working within these areas as your registration will be cancelled/removed.

Additional sessions, including in‑person training, will be offered throughout the year, so please keep an eye on our Eventbrite page for new opportunities.


Spaces are limited to two per organisation, however we do offer a waiting list facility. So, if you are unable to attend, please could you let us know as soon as possible via email so we can then offer your place to someone else.

Your booking information will be shared with our delivery partners, Support Staffordshire and Telford and Wrekin Community Services for the purposes of managing and delivering this training.
