About this Event
This event has kindly been subsidised by the Department for Enterprise and includes breakfast refreshments.
It is important for young people to have work opportunities to provide valuable life and career benefits. It helps them to develop work ethic, communications skills, builds financial literacy and boosts confidence and independence. Early exposure to the workplace develops skilled, loyal employees who may grow within the organisation.
In the last six months Junior Achievement has received 600 vacancies through their Just the Job platform, only a handful were for people under the age of 18, with one vacancy having 200 applications.
The aim of this breakfast event is to update employers on our recent survey with young people, a range of guest speakers on employing young people and a round table discussion about what are the barriers to getting young people into the job market.
