Women in Digital is back in Sydney! Join us for an enlightening and inspiring discussion on how technology is being harnessed to address pressing social challenges, driving meaningful impact and fostering positive change across communities worldwide.
Technology has the power to be a great equaliser, offering solutions to some of society's most pressing issues. From promoting sustainability and environmental conservation to improving healthcare access and education, tech innovations are paving the way for a brighter and more equitable future.
There is no argument that more social enterprises and tech for good projects are a positive for society - but statistically they also lead to more women in leadership.
Approximately one third of board positions on social enterprises are held by women compared to only one quarter in mainstream businesses. Social enterprises also contribute significantly to the Australian economy, with over 12,000 social enterprises contributing $21.3 billion to the Australian economy each year and employing over 200,000 people.
This means not only do social enterprise and tech for good projects do good by addressing issues in society, it's good for diversity and great for the economy!
In this event you'll hear from women who are using technology to drive social impact across diverse communities and industries and will share their insights and experiences at the intersection of tech and social good.
