About this Event
Teacher: Emma Julliard from Black Blob collective
For this workshop you will receive:
- a complete set of components for building a oscillator from scratch;
- a Molten Tiger synth layout;
- a booklet with information about each component you'll be handling;
- an accelerated course on basic soldering techniques;
- the knowledge needed to put all the parts together;
- At the end of the workshop, you'll take home a shiny Molten Tiger synth that you built with your own sweat.
FLINTA* people will have the option to take home a soldering iron as well, which is included in the cost. The reason for this is that we think diversity is the one thing that can make an event interesting and challenging, and since this is an activity that is mostly done by men, we thought a small present might attract others as well.
We suggest you bring patience and a willingness to learn, as well as a steady hand for the soldering part. If you don't know anything about soldering, we suggest you look it up on the internet. You will be using a soldering iron that reaches very high temperatures (300-350 degrees): use this tool at your own risk.
The workshop will take place under the current Covid19 regulations.
We will work in 2 separate groups of 4 people each.
