If you’ve been curious about learning more about Bachata dancing, but keep missing your chance to hop in class, THIS IS THE BOOTCAMP FOR YOU! (Or even if it’s just been awhile and you want to dust off your foundations, don’t worry, you’ll find what you’re looking for, too.) What is Bachata? 🇩🇴
Bachata is a fun and playful social dance from the Dominican Republic characterized by delicious hip movement and a soulful connection with 4 things: the music, the ground, your partner, and yourself. The music of Bachata is FULL of rich rhythms and lively melodies to pull on your heart strings. Even if you don’t speak Spanish, you can fall in love with this music.
Goals for this bootcamp:
We will work on 6-7 key basic steps/moves of Bachata and we will heavily focus on applying the foundations of partnerwork that allow communication to happen, both in leading and following. Because this is a social dance and you never know where the dance “conversation” might take you, these skills are essential in communicating authentically and purposefully.
By the end, you should feel more confident about your dance foundation, leading you to more fun social dancing as well as enhanced capability and confidence in the dance classes you take down the line.

Date & Time: Sunday, January 11th from 12pm-3pm
Location: Allegheny RiverTrail Park (inside the welcome center), 285 River Ave. Pittsburgh PA
Cost: $45, pre-registration preferred but walk-ins accepted
