After an epic Bugs and Beasts weekend at Waterloo Park in 2022, this fantastic, free event for families makes its return in August for one day only - on Thu 1 August 2024.Featuring free drop-in activities with a nature twist, workshops and big family shows, there is plenty for all ages to enjoy at Bugs and Beasts!
We'll be joined by Prof Ben Garrod - author, TV presenter and patron of Norwich Science Festival - for a roarsome dinosaur show, and a free talk about his brand-new book, Jack-Jack, A Dog in Africa!
No need to book in advance, simply drop-in on the day. More activities still to be announced - check back for more information!
Explore and draw the patterns found in nature with the Climate Museum UK, discover the urban plants growing in Waterloo Park with Rebecca Horn, or take a sneak peek at the minibeasts living in compost with Norfolk Master Composters. Plus nature fun and games with the Norfolk Wildlife Trust and many more!
Book on to free family workshops on the day at The Forum information stand. Have a go at extracting DNA from bananas with The Little Storytelling Company - just like the scientists using DNA to study and protect our wildlife! More workshops still to be announced.
