About this Event

Please join us for a family day out! Kids will have the chance to get hands-on looking for insects as we walk through this unique Grade 2 listed Victorian cemetery. Insect pooters and activity sheets are provided. This event will be led by John Dallas from Bracken Hall Countryside Centre. It is aimed at approximately 8-12 years old, though this is just a guide.

There is a fee of £5 per child for non-members, and £3.50 if you are a member of BUWG - children 3 years old and under are free. There is also a 20% discount for families when buying three or more tickets at one time. BUWG members and families - please contact the secretary through Facebook Messenger or by email at: [email protected], to request your discount code before purchasing tickets. Booking is essential as spaces are limited.

Please meet at the entrance by the office off Undercliffe Lane. There are two small car parks in the cemetery and street parking is available. What three words location: “fool.down.digs”

Please note that this outdoor event is weather dependent, so please check our Facebook page for any updates or cancellations the day before the event. It's important to note that BUWG takes no responsibility for children, and all children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. A consent form will be emailed to you after you have booked your tickets.
