Distances:
Day 1 is a 21 km and
Day 2 is 13 km.
Starting times:
The run starts at 8am on Saturday. The organiser may change this at any time if the weather does not permit it.
Medical:
There will be paramedics out on the route. Please note the nearest water table if you see a runner on the trail that is injured so that we can get someone to them. The SOS number will be confirmed at race briefing. Our medical team at the race village will assess the runner.
Water Points:
Day 1 – On Saturday our first water point is around the 5km mark where you will be greeted by the local community’s enthusiasm. Our second water point is around 10km where you will be greeted by a very friendly farmer and the real South African farmers hospitality. The third water point is around 15 km where you will be greeted by beautiful views and loud cheer where we the community will serve you their well known mampoer.
Day 2 – On Sunday we have one water point around 5 km in the heart of the Magalies mountains where you will be surrounded by the most beautiful scenery.
The waterpoints will be more than enough, but you are welcome to carry a hydration pack.
Cut-offs
For the safety of our trail runners and crew, we do have a cut off for each day. Our sweepers will walk the whole day to make sure that no runner is left behind. We do ask that you will respect the crew’s decisions.
