At the heart of the short film are two characters: Courtney who is going through private emotional troubles exacerbated by financial strain and Luke who is struggling as a young student of colour in the school system. Luke is facing expulsion after being accused of stealing from the school and Courtney, as someone close to his Mum, find herself supporting Luke during an intense meeting that could go either way.
