We're pleased to announce the 2024 Buetow Conference on Child Maltreatment is scheduled for Friday, September 6, 2024, and will be held in person at the Carle at The Fields Administrative Center in Champaign. This year's theme is Impacts of Substance Use on Families: Pregnancy through Adolescence.Topics this year will include Fetal Alcohol Syndrome: A Personal Experience; Improving Outcomes for Newborns Exposed to Opioids; Naloxone: The Overdose Avenger; Case Reviews; Besieged by Addiction: Survival Roles in a Dysfunctional System; the Generational Effects of Substance Use on the Family Dynamic; and Substance Exposure Panel.
This event is for psychologists, physicians, residents, advanced practice providers, registered nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, social workers, dietitians, licensed professional and clinical counselors, athletic trainers, physician assistants, teachers, and health professional students.
