Join me on Saturday, December 13 11:00am-1pm at Victoria Square Mall for a Ward 5 Budget Townhall.City Council will be deliberating the City of Regina budget the week of December 15. This year’s budget has been delivered differently than in the past, with multiple options shown on the table. The budget booklet outlines scenarios ranging from a 15 percent or higher tax increase to keep status quo services and it also shows deep service cuts tied to a tax reduction rate.
Both extremes come with concerns.
What it shows is the true cost of running our city and the services residents rely on.
On December 13, we will walk through the available budget options together, I’ll have interactive activities to provide your input and voice your priorities on what matters most to you and your family.
I have had security concerns in the past, including stolen property, so I want to note that disrespectful behaviour will not be tolerated and security will be in attendance to ensure a safe and respectful environment for everyone.
This is an important conversation and I know most of us want to engage in a meaningful, respectful discussion about our shared priorities, and I’m looking forward to see you there.
