Bryan Stoops is a stand-up comedian in New York City. He has performed at the Broadway Comedy Club, Eastville Comedy Club, The Stand Comedy Club, & Saint Marks Comedy Club in New York City. Bryan has upcoming shows at the Think Funny Comedy Club in Connecticut, Stand-Up New York in NYC, and the Tao Comedy Studio in Los Angeles.
Bryan spent most of his life in southern California, but when he moved to NYC just about four years ago with his family, for the first two years, Bryan lived on Roosevelt Island. Bryan and his family got involved with the Main Street Theatre & Dance Alliance (MSTDA), and while Bryan and his family no longer live on Roosevelt Island, there is still a strong bond there.
Bryan will present two performances of "Celebrity Girlfriend Draft", a 60 minute, mostly clean (PG-13ish), stand-up comedy show. Beyond some very minor production costs, Main Street Theatre & Dance alliance will receive 100% of the profit from both the live tickets and Zoom ticket sales. This show will be 80% new material from the comedy show Bryan performed in 2021 to benefit MSTDA; most of the material that will be presented was written in 2022.
Bryan prefers to work clean, even in comedy clubs (and that's not a knock against other comics who don't), and this show will hover right around PG-13, so it is recommended that none of the audience members be younger than 13. The shows will both be held in the Howe Theatre on Roosevelt Island, and Zoomed to audience members who can't make it in person.
After a brief hiatus at the end of 2021, Bryan has been doing a lot of stand-up in 2022. Bryan can't wait to share the material he's been working so hard on with both the live and Zoom audiences to benefit MSTDA!
