About this Event
Director/writer/editor Jonathan Rosado joins us in-person in Pittsburgh for a special screening of the year's second most buzzed about brutalist movie: Brutalist Couture. But everyone agrees that this shot-on-Super-8 feature is the year's top M**der acid noir freak out!
A brief plot description, in case you're not yet sold:
Brutalist Couture directed by Jonathan Rosado is a personal meditation on the American Neo-Noir genre, shot entirely on Super 8mm film. The film follows Hieronymus Rivera (Jonathan Rosado), a strong force in the New York fashion underground, who is offered the deal of a lifetime by Cecilia Meadows (Jessica Shepherd), a government official who is the head of a new secret program called DAFTCA. What begins as a simple agreement to design uniforms for the organization, soon finds Hieronymus in the center of a vast web of conspiracy.
The feature will be preceded by a selection of Super 8 oddities from the Flea Market Films collection.
