Calligraphy for Beginners
Join us for an exciting event, Fall Brush Pen for Beginners Workshop! You can explore the art of beautiful writing whether you're a complete novice or have some experience, this event is perfect for anyone interested in learning the basics of calligraphy. You will also get 10% off of merchandise at Tuggles that day and you will LOVE their shop!

During this in-person event, you'll have the opportunity to learn various brush pen calligraphy techniques and styles. I will guide you through the process of creating elegant letterforms and you will finish a take home card to send, and a magnet.
Whether you want to add a personal touch to your handwritten notes, create unique invitations, or simply explore a new hobby, this event is the perfect starting point. I provide all the necessary materials, including brush pens, vellum, guide sheets, and practice sheets.

Who should join the Brush Pen Calligraphy for Beginners Workshop?
Honestly, everyone's welcome! While a lot of brides-to-be love our workshops, you don't need a wedding in the works to give calligraphy a go. You can use it for fancy invites, sure, but also for spicing up parties, creating your own art, writing pretty letters, or even designing a cool logo.
Do I need any brush pen calligraphy experience?
Nope, not at all! This workshop is perfect for beginners. Whether you've just played around with lettering a bit or you've never touched a brush pen before, I'll get you started on the basics and hopefully make you fall in love with lettering. I am also available to all students for on-going mentoring after class. Share your practice pages or projects and I will be happy to answer any questions!
Do I need to bring anything?
For the beginners' workshop, just bring your creative vibes!
What age is recommended:
This class is for all ages - we will be writing in cursive so hand control is a must. (Younger children may attend with a responsible paid adult.) You do not need to have perfect cursive to attend this class!
What if I can't make the class after reserving a spot?
We totally get it; life happens. But because our spots are super limited, we can't do refunds.
However, if you can't make it, feel free to pass your spot to a friend. Just give us at least 24 hours notice, and we'll make it happen.
Do you do private parties or classes?
Absolutely! Private parties or classes are a blast for bridal showers, girls' night in, birthdays, and more. I just need a place for people to be able to sit with enough room to write, and I bring all the rest! For private events, you provide the snacks and drinks and I work with you to tailor a theme. Do you offer online courses?

What about inclement weather?
We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel a class due to weather. If we cancel, you will be eligible for a refund, or we can transfer you to a different class!
