BRUSH AND INK MAGIC - Japanese Calligraphy

This workshop will give you a chance to experience the beautiful art of Japanese Calligraphy and to learn about Japanese Culture. The importance of meditation, zen and the traditional tools and techniques will be shown to you, and you will find the balance of using a brush, ink and Japanese Paper to create your own Japanese characters very rewarding.
You will not only learn brush techniques but also experience the whole process of the art and understand yourself through your work. You will use the traditional Japanese materials of a brush, ink and Japanese paper and be guided how to create your first brush strokes and how to build on these basic steps to create some lovely Japanese characters. Learn the foundations and begin the path to lifelong practice.
Everybody is welcome – no calligraphy experience or Japanese language skills are necessary. All supplies are included as rental, so no need to bring anything.
