Brunch & Learn: Let’s try something different expat friends: On Sunday, Aug 31 at 11am, we will have a Brunch & Learn. The location is Cafe St Honore in barrio Rohrmoser (Boulevard de Rohrmoser 50m Este de Papa Johns, San Jose Costa Rica — it’s on the opposite side of street than Papa Johns). We have a meeting room reserved just to the right of the cafe’s entrance. Bruce Cusic will lead a discussion around the transgender and non-binder communities. They represent a combined 2-3% of the world’s population and few people understand who they really are. Many hide from society, therefore it’s quite possible you have trans and non-binary friends and have no idea. In this learning opportunity we will define terms, clear up the many misconceptions, and learn how to better support them. A curiculum handout will be provided.
