Honoring Marjorie Garcia: A Champion of Puerto Rican Heritage
Marjorie Garcia stands as a beacon of cultural preservation and community dedication. As the visionary founder of Staten Island Puerto Rican Neighbors and the groundbreaking Boricua Legacy Project, her tireless efforts have profoundly impacted the local Puerto Rican community. Marjorie’s unwavering commitment to people and culture is evident through her extensive volunteer work for numerous local causes, where she consistently dedicates her time and energy to foster connection and understanding.
A highlight of her recent achievements includes co-founding the inaugural Boricua Festival at Snug Harbor Cultural Center last summer which successfully brought together about 4,000 Puerto Ricans from across Staten Island, creating a powerful platform for celebrating their shared cultural heritage through the universal languages of music, art, and food. The Boricua Legacy Project, her most recent and impactful collaboration, further solidifies her partnership with the Staten Island Urban Center, promising continued initiatives to honor and promote Puerto Rican legacy.
Celebrating Hala Maroc: A Catalyst for Community and Creativity
Hala Maroc is a dynamic entrepreneur and influential social media personality who has redefined the landscape of collaboration among community activists, creatives, and businesses. Her innovative spirit has given rise to the Build A Dream Incubator, a truly unique wellness and creative space. This groundbreaking initiative provides essential support and a nurturing environment for a diverse range of artists, entrepreneurs, and wellness experts, fostering their growth and success.
