Brownsville, Texas – The Brownsville Society for the Performing Arts proudly presents the original Texas Guitar Festival. Don't miss this incredible opportunity to witness these extraordinary guitarists in action. Come, be inspired, and immerse yourself in the magic of music!

Event Details:

• Friday, March 28: TSC Performing Arts Center (90 Taylor Avenue)
• 7:00 PM: Performance by Matt Palmer
• Matt Palmer, an internationally acclaimed classical guitarist, will dazzle the audience with his virtuosic technique and captivating repertoire. Known for his unique blend of classical and contemporary styles, Palmer’s performance is a must-see.
• Saturday, March 29: TSC Performing Arts Center (90 Taylor Avenue)
• 7:00 PM: Performance by Jeronimo Maya
• Jeronimo Maya, a flamenco guitar maestro, will bring his fiery passion and intricate rhythms to the stage. With his deep roots in the flamenco tradition and innovative approach, Maya's performance will be an unforgettable experience.

• Sunday, March 30: (Venue to be determined)******
• 3:00 PM: Performance by Bokyung Byun & Jay Kacherski
• Bokyung Byun, a rising star in the classical guitar world, and Jay Kacherski, a celebrated performer and educator, will join forces for a special concert. Their duo performance promises to showcase both technical brilliance and expressive artistry.

The Original Ensemble Competition

This spectacular event will take place at the TSC Performing Arts Center and promises a weekend filled with incredible performances, educational opportunities, and the original Guitar Ensemble Competition!

Performance Adjudication Days:

• Friday, March 28:
• 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM: Middle School & High School
• Saturday, March 29:
• 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM: University/College

The Performance Adjudications and school registration are open to any school and private studio ensembles which play on nylon string guitars. Don't miss out on the opportunity to witness and participate in THE ORIGINAL GUITAR ENSEMBLE COMPETITION.
