Join us for a powerful evening celebrating resilience, community, and storytelling through the lens of Brownsville Bred — an award-winning coming-of-age film inspired by 🇵🇷 Puerto Rican writer/director Elaine Del Valle’s true story growing up in the tough streets of Brownsville, Brooklyn during the 1980s.
Following the screening, enjoy an exclusive talkback with Elaine Del Valle, where she’ll share her journey from stage to screen and the cultural significance of bringing this deeply personal story to life.
Empanadas / Pastelillos will be available for purchase throughout the evening.
