? ABOUT THE WALK ?
This route takes us up to the Swift Valley Nature Reserve and along the Old Canal. This is a
disused section of the Oxford Canal known as the ‘Brownsover Arm’. It is part of the original canal built in the late 18th Century, which was subsequently straightened out in the 1830’s leaving this section abandoned.
The route then takes us towards Cosford, a shrunken medieval village. We pass very closely by
the village farm and then head towards and past the shooting ground before making our way back over the fields to the Oxford Canal. Following the canal, we cross over just near to the Harvester Bell & Barge pub and around and back into the car park.

Please arrive by 6.15 am we will set off at 6.30 am sharp. If this is your first AG walk, then please arrive nice and early and seek out the walk leader who will be wearing a red "walk leader" pin badge.

? IS THIS WALK DOG FRIENDLY? Very dog friendly. A few gates but no stiles.
☕️ BREAKFAST? We often stop for breakfast after a morning miracle walk. The menu will be sent to you via email on the Wednesday before the event for pre-orders. For this event we will pop to MacDonalds for a cheeky breakfast.
? WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU
- Good trainers or walking shoes (and other clothes of course!).
- Bring raingear if the weather is looking wet!
- A drink.
⛑ RULES TO KEEP YOU SAFE :
- We walk in all weathers, however, if we have a weather warning then the event may be cancelled. Keep an eye on your emails and the Facebook event page for notifications of any cancellations.
- We will only ever walk in groups of 15 or less. If we have more than 15, we will usually have two walk leaders and walk in opposite directions.
