Hosted by Karol & Anna Brown, Brownie-Fest is a conjoined birthday party-fundraiser-hybrid event aimed at strengthening community and providing opportunities for us as oldies to support our all ages music scene.
All proceeds from this event will go directly to The Pavilion Youth Association and their work supporting the all ages music community.
$15 Advance
$20 Door/pwyc
About the Pavilion Youth Association:
The Pavilion, also known as the Halifax Pavilion, was the only dedicated all-ages music venue in Halifax, located next to the Commons Skate Park. The venue has since closed and the building demolished, however the mission to support the all ages scene lives on with the Pavilion Youth Association.
Following the closing of the physical location, the community came together to create the Pavilion Youth Association, a non-profit group of volunteers focused on creating spaces for youth to perform and attend live music.
The non-profit functions remotely as a booking agent, promoter, and resource for youth looking to participate in the local music scene. They offer support with venue costs, gear rentals, and other expenses that create a barrier for young people looking to access live music.
