'Brown Women In Their Own Lens' invites audiences into the inner workings of South Asian women who work behind the screen. From how they got their start and self-doubts to finding community and reclaiming their stories, our guest speaker has an honest heart-to-heart about the experiences that have helped shape their career. We dive into topics such as cultural stigmas, self orientalism, racism, code switching and finding authenticity in the nuances. Followed by a Q&A, our guest speaker shares their wisdom and learning to help inspire the next wave of South Asian women in film.
