Live Music: The Baldwin High School Jazz Band will be performing holiday tunes on the front porch while a quartet serenades visitors in the music room.
Festive Decorations: The Carrington Woods Garden Club will transform the house into a holiday wonderland.
Light Refreshments: Savor complimentary light refreshments as you stroll through the beautifully decorated rooms and soak in the historical ambiance.
Knowledgeable Docents: Our dedicated docents will be on hand throughout the house to answer questions, providing insight into its storied past.
With a history spanning 199 years as an inn, tavern, private home, and restaurant, the Brown Stetson Sanford House offers a glimpse into life from 1857 to 1890. It is one of the last remaining early inns and taverns in Milledgeville and the only one open to the public. As we celebrate the holiday season, we welcome you to join us in honoring this historic gem.
While admission is free, donations are greatly appreciated and essential to maintaining this historic gem. Your support helps us continue our mission to preserve and educate, as we also work towards opening doors to The Depot! We hope you will visit us for an evening of history and community spirit.
