Mark your calendars and take a step towards a healthier you!Join us in Brown County for free health and wellness events happening February 22 and April 26, 2025, at Brown County YMCA. These events are dedicated to promoting health and wellness in our community through a variety of screenings and educational sessions.
Services:
- (February 22 only): Hearing, vision, and oral cancer health screenings. Financial assistance and referrals available to individuals who qualify.
- Biometric screenings (blood pressure, HA1C, cholesterol)
- Mental health evaluations
- Lifestyle and nutritional assessments
- Resource navigation
- Various health vendors will be in attendance
Don’t miss the Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) panel on February 22, where experts will discuss an upcoming survey to identify health needs in our community. This survey will conclude at the April 26 event.
These events are presented by the Indiana University Center for Rural Engagement and the IU School of Public Health, in partnership with Brown County YMCA, Brown Countians for Quality Healthcare, Hoosier Health Check, White River Dental (dental screenings), Sound Solutions (hearing screenings), and Lion’s Club and Atwater Eye Clinic (vision screenings).
