Cowboy boot maker Lisa Sorrell shares her story in conjunction with the exhibition Cowboy Boots: From Round–ups to Runways. Sorrell makes cowboy boots and shoes in her shop in Oklahoma, transforming flat pieces of leather and the client’s measurements into head-turning boots using hand tools and vintage machinery. She will share the boot creation process and focus on the decorative works that define a handmade cowboy boot. Sorrell is known for her passion for tradition and intricately designed and executed cowboy boots. Bring your lunch or purchase one at the Museum Grill.Reservations are not required.
