During a career in the United States that spanned sixty years, Coppini created over 230 sculptures, including the six imposing statues in the Hall of Heroes at the Hall of State. Dr. McCaslin is the Director of Publications for the Texas State Historical Association (TSHA), retired as the TSHA Professor of Texas History at the University of North Texas, and is the author or editor of nineteen books, eight of which received awards
