About this Event
Join Brown Babies n’ Books at Lark Café (Brooklyn, NY) on Saturday, August 24th, 6–9 PM for a warm, kid-free evening of connection, books, and sisterhood.
Picture this: a sangria in one hand, a good book in the other, wrapped in your favorite MooMoo or robe, laughing and connecting with other incredible women in the cozy after-hours glow of a neighborhood coffee shop.
Here’s what you can expect:
📚 Reading & Reflection: Two 20-minute reading sessions, sprinkled with cozy 1:1 conversations, then a guided group discussion.
🍷 Drinks: Summer sangrias (white & red), Happy Mama Tea from Sacred Vibes Apothecary, craft coffee & infused water.
🧀 Food: Charcuterie-style appetizers & light bites.
✨ Atmosphere: Evening café vibes in shades of orange, copper, gold, and brown. Flowy MooMoos and robes are highly encouraged.
Tickets: $50 (includes unlimited drinks, charcuterie bites, and the full sister circle experience).
Attendees: Space is limited to just 12 mamas for an intimate, beautiful evening.
Bring a book or borrow one from our curated selection. This is your chance to pause, breathe, and create the girls’ night you’ve been craving.
This event is part of the continued Mamas series curated by Brown Babies n’ Books—a safe space for mothers of color to gather, laugh, and recharge.
